Rainer Galke, born 1971 in Meerbusch, trained at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. Engagements at the Schlosstheater Moers, Schauspiel Dortmund, Theater Freiburg and at the Schauspielhaus in Düsseldorf followed. Rainer Galke has also appeared in film and TV productions. In 2016 he received the Nestroy Theatre Award in the Best Actor category, and a year later he was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category. In 2019/20 Rainer Galke left the Volkstheater in Vienna to join the Burgtheater ensemble.
