Since 2003, the DRAMA FORUM Graz has awarded the Retzhofer Prize every two years, which has now become one of the most famous prizes for young talent in contemporary drama in the German-speaking world.

Since 2015 the prize, which is worth 5,000 euros, has been rewarded with a premiere of the chosen text in the vestibule of the Burgtheater. At the time this publication went to press, the prize winning play for 2021 had not yet been confirmed.
