Wer hat Angst vor Virginia Woolf?

On a mirror in a bar in Greenwich Village, Edward Albee discovered the words: Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Originally, he wanted to call his new drama THE EXORCISM – a rather fitting name for the notorious afterparty attended by Martha, George, Nick and Honey. And ever since its premiere in New York in 1962, the play has been regarded as a classic and as a real treat for actors.

Without her husband’s knowledge, Martha has invited Nick, the new biology professor, and his wife, Honey, to their home after an official university party. George, Martha’s husband, is a history professor and all too familiar with his wife’s party games. As the daughter of the university rector, she has power and influence and likes nothing better than to play with other people’s feelings. But on this evening everything is different, and the game gets out of hand.
