Mavie Hörbiger

Mavie Hörbiger was born in Munich in 1979 and began her stage career at the Schauspiel in Hanover in 2001. In 2008 she had her first engagement in Vienna, at the Theater in der Josefstadt, and has been a member of the Burgtheater ensemble since the 2011/12 season. In addition to her stage work, Mavie Hörbiger is a familiar face on the big and small screen. In 2001 she was awarded the Romy as Most Popular Female Shooting Star. In 2016 she was nominated by the Deutsche Akademie für Fernsehen in the Best Supporting Role category as well as for the Nestroy Theatre Award in the Best Supporting Role category. In 2021, she was awarded as Austrian of the Year in the cultural heritage category by the newspaper Die Presse.
