"Der siebente Oktober" von Doron Rabinovici

Doron Rabinovici has used material collected from the victims of 7 October 2023 to create a collage made up of text messages and witness statements. His aim is to give a voice to individual survivors and let their reports be heard, their shock, sadness, dreams, as well as their hope in defiance of all bitterness. No images of the massacre will be shown that evening. Instead, only words recalling the event and the suffering will be heard, even if little consolation can be offered – only the desire to find a way out of the bloodshed and a future for both peoples. After the performance, human rights experts will speak about the significance of that day, and what transpired before and after. Nothing is overcome as long as there is no peace.
