Dorothee Hartinger and Sabine Haupt have been part of the Burgtheater ensemble for more than 20 years. Having shared the stage countless times, they know each other inside out. And the spectrum of plays they are currently acting in together is extremely broad: Schnitzler’s social panorama THE VAST DOMAIN, Shakespeare’s both dystopian and magical play A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, the fast-paced farce THE RAPE OF THE SABINE WOMEN by the von Schönthan brothers, and the last Burgtheater premiere of the season, Herbert Fritsch’s comedic examination of death, ZENTRALFRIEDHOF. Has anything changed in the course of these many years experienced together? These two versatile actors talk to Haide Tenner, granting insight into their work and sharing their views on metamorphosis, drama, humour, and theatre in general.
